Keep on top of Weed Control in your Pulse Crops this Spring

“Effective pre-emergence herbicides are essential to keep on top of weed control in your pulse crops this spring,” reminds Joss Vincent of leading pulse crop breeders Nickerson. “Pulses are not very competitive, so pre-emergence herbicides are the first choice to avoid the crop problems that will result from the weed competition seen here.” (See Picture)
Mr Vincent’s advice was underlined by John Young, BASF Pulse Crops Product Manager: “Our new pre-emergence herbicide Nirvana offers pulse growers considerable flexibility in terms of weed spectrum, dose rates and programmes, which will help crops get off to a good start this spring. We are recommending the product for all varieties of combining peas, vining peas, winter and spring beans.”
