Wheat Breeder Grows Funds for Charity

First time runner, David Wroth, preparing for the gruelling London Marathon in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
David, a wheat breeding technician for plant breeder Nickerson, completed the London Marathon in just over 4 hours 50 minutes. His energetic fundraising work raised a huge £1700, which was then kindly increased to £2000 by Nickerson.
"The day itself was one of the hardest but also one of the greatest days of my life.” said David “The pain was bad at times but, with thousands of people supporting me, stopping was not an option”.
“I must admit though, that Superman, Father Christmas and Batman were all faster than me. I did however beat a man on skis, the Wombles and a 101 year old! I would really like to thank everyone in the company who sponsored me to run their donations will help save lives.” he added.
